This Privacy Policy explains how Remloc (“Remloc,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Remloc mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). Because Remloc is a location reminder app, location data is central to how it works — so we've tried to be especially clear about it below.

Information we collect

Location data

To trigger your reminders, Remloc needs access to your device's location. We use geofencing: small zones around the places you pin. Your device monitors these zones in the background and fires a reminder when you enter one.

• Location is used to detect arrival at places you choose, and to show nearby and distance-sorted reminders.
• Where possible, geofence matching happens on your device. We do not sell your location data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Reminders that depend on location will stop firing if you do.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details through our identity provider. We use this to sign you in and sync your reminders.

Reminder content

The tasks, notes, places, and settings you create are stored so we can deliver the Service to you. If you use magic capture, the text, voice, or screenshot you provide is processed to extract a task and suggest a place.

Usage & device information

We may collect limited technical information — device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic logs — to keep the Service reliable and fix problems.

How we use your information

• To deliver location-based reminders and core app features.
• To create and secure your account.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed:

• Maps & places — to show maps and find places you search for [e.g. Google Maps Platform].
• Authentication & backend — to manage sign-in and store your data securely [e.g. Clerk, Firebase].
• Legal — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Account → Privacy → Delete account in the app, or by emailing nnaemeka.ugwokegbe@echo1ict.com.ng. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we must retain it to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at nnaemeka.ugwokegbe@echo1ict.com.ng.

Children's privacy

Remloc is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
